One-to-one consultations are available online

Prior to your first appointment, you will be requested to complete a health questionnaire and a short food diary, which should be returned at least two days in advance of your appointment.

Initial appointment (up to 90 minutes)

Our first session will be very much focussed around the goals you would like to work on, gathering a health history, and learning more about your current diet, and lifestyle – such as sleep, stress and exercise, among others.

From this I can gather an initial picture of what might be impacting on your health and wellness. We will then work together on your personal health plan, including achievable diet and lifestyle objectives.

As well as reviewing diet and lifestyle, nutritional supplements and private health tests from leading laboratories may be recommended if these are thought to be beneficial. These would be additional to the consultation fee (though some applicable tests may also be available through your Doctor).

Follow-up appointment (up to 60 minutes)

Depending on your goals, and to get the best from Nutritional Therapy, I recommend at least one follow-up consultation after 3 - 4 weeks.

We will assess the progress you have made so far towards goals, and any test results will be discussed, prior to working together to update your plan.

“Don’t let perfect be the evil of good….”

I love this quote as it sums up my philosophy around Nutritional Therapy. You see, I’m a perfectionist. Through. And. Through.

Sometimes it has served me well – including having a real drive to research the latest science to get the best for my clients. But ‘perfect’ does not always serve us well (as I have learnt to realise!) when it can stop us from achieving what we are aiming for – and living life to the full.

  • I will NOT expect you to be perfect in implementing nutrition and lifestyle goals, but just to try your best – in fact, sometimes, I will encourage you to reduce the pressure of goals, especially if life is already stressful and you are a self-confessed perfectionist like me…
  • In addition, I will NOT ask you to cut out numerous food groups (except if I think it could be helpful for you individually, and there is evidence to support this). Most of the time I will be encouraging you to eat as wide a variety of healthful foods as possible (Life’s for Living – right?!)
  • But … I WILL work with you where you are at in your journey to design a programme that is collaborative, works in with your lifestyle, and can ultimately help you live life to the full.
